Would this set be too easy for a 6 year old boy?
I had my 14, 11, 8, and 6 year old cooperate to build one of the structures in the pamphlet. They liked it so much I bought another construction set so they had more to share. Definitely not too easy for 6 year old.

Which country is it made in?
My kid through the box away but i think it said china. I will say the toy is good quality. My kid is 8 and still plays with these and i havent had any break in the few years he has owned these sets.

Would this be a nice and safe toy for a 2 year old?
no, it is for an older child. There are very small ball bearings that a two year old would swallow. The pieces are magnetized and require some thought and hand coordination when building with them. They are an amazing toy for an older child.....one who is beyond the stage of putting things in their mouth. I would say age 4 and up. A four year old might need some supervision.
